Good Evening Marshall Walker Class of 84. In your quiet time, - TopicsExpress

Good Evening Marshall Walker Class of 84. In your quiet time, please pray for Tonya Scott-Hickman. Tonya was unexpectedly admitted to the Hospital today. Please read the below message from Tonya! Take heed to her words! I know I will!! This afternoon my FB friends and family, I find myself in an uncomfortable and vulnerable state in the hospital having a blood transfusion. Earlier in the day, when you get that call-back from the doctor it is usually never a good thing- and as the Dr stated, in her best bed-side manner voice,Mrs Scott-Hickman, I think you should get to the hospital as soon as you can, the matter at hand is serious. While choking back tears, as she explains that this serious matter at hand could lead to very serious complications like - cardiac arrest, I am in disbelief that I am here at this juncture. While we as women, mothers, wives, the end all be all, are always taking care of everyone and everything else, I want to implore my sister-friends and brothers to stop and take care of yourselves. I couldnt imagine that I would ever be at a place that someone would tell me that I could be at risk for heart failure. No not me, not wonder-woman, who ignores the signs and symptoms of extreme exhaustion, strange heart palpitations, and head-aches that for me are not the norm, but I still wouldnt stop going, doing and feeling like I had to be everywhere and do everything. God intervenes on your behalf when you are not obedient- and speaks in His still, quiet voice Be still. I trust Him, and in His infinite wisdom I know that I will be restored. For someone who is seldom sick in good health and is deathly afraid of and hates needles, waffling between this wimp I know I can be and this super- woman I sometimes imagine myself to be -not, is very trying. I love this time of year and the thought of missing all the impending festivities and not being able to celebrate with friends and family makes me well-up with tears again and again. Pray for a sister and I know God will hear you. Peace and Blessings!
