Good Monday Morning, here is looking ahead to the happenings this week and into the weekend in the Parkland. The Fort Dauphin Museum will host a Summer Day Camp, this Tuesday, from 9am-12pm. Kids aged 5-12 are encouraged to come out and learn about the fur trade! Children will learn about the trade and how it shaped our great nation in new and exciting ways! The cost is only $10 per child. For more info call 204-638-6630. The Catalyst Credit Union Digital Media Camps will be held this Tuesday and Wednesday in Dauphin. Youth ages 12-16 will learn how to create inspiring, emotion short films that provide them with the background needed to become a filmmaker. Participants will learn story creation, cinematography, lighting and more! The cost to enter is $80 and includes lunch and equipment. To register visit RMNPfilmfest.ca The next “Dinner and Cinema Night” at the Dauphin Senior Center for those 55 plus will go this Wednesday, Come for dinner at 5pm and head across the street to the Countryfest Community Cinema to watch “Grown Ups 2”. The cost is $13 for members and $15 for non members. Ticket deadline is this Tuesday. The Dauphin Friendship Center will host their annual picnic in the park, next to their main building at 210 – 1st Avenue North East, this Wednesday, starting at 4:30pm. Come and enjoy a BBQ, with Burgers and Hot Dogs for sale, along with face painting, castle bouncer, kid’s activities, and music performed by the Chris Barker Band. Bring your lawn chair. Roblin continues to hosts their 100th Anniversary Celebrations, this week right through until Sunday! Take in a variety of events and activities, including the Snowbirds this Wednesday; also enjoy pancake breakfasts, ongoing main stage entertainment, exhibit hall, car show, demo derby, dances, kids activities, and so much more. This championship event showcases 12 and 13 year old baseball players from across Manitoba. The tournament consists of 15 teams from across the province. This annual festival offers three days of lilies, music, food & family fun, including live Entertainment, the Lily Show, the Tangled Threads Quilt Show, the Charlie Sage Memorial Fiddlers Contest, the Annual Lily Fest Parade, the Miss Lily Queen Contest, Street Vendors, Bus and Horse Tours, Cabarets, Auto Show & Shine, Kids Events at Riverbend Park, the Margaret Laurence Antique/& Collectible Sale, the Family Old Tyme Dance, the 5K & 10K Run and 5K Walk and so much more! The Royal Canadian Legion in Dauphin invites all golfers to take part in the 27th annual Sander Cup golf tournament. It takes place this Saturday at the Dauphin Lake Golf Course.
