Great place to visit on Peniamina Day or any other day and experience this historical event at this great place. Starting first at the bottom of the steps in Uluvehi by tipping your feet in the sea water, then climb the steps walking up the Uluvehi sea track and Lautamina Road leading you to the Mutalau Village Green. Then take the track to the Taue i Fupiu, the fort where Peniamina was taken to and given 24/7 guard and protection by the 60 strong warriors of Ululauta. The 60 warriors selected specifically for this important task to guard and protect The Word of God, as Peniamina start to teach first the people of Mutalau about the gospel. The People of Fineone came to ask for Ha-Kupu-Atua-The Word of God which forms the modern name of their village Hakupu. From the Taue i Fupiu just walk back to the Mutalau Village Green and visit the church building Fupiu Tala Mitaki just beside the Lalomanogi Pastors House. On the entrance side of the church building where there is a plague listing the names of the 60 strong warriors who guarded and protected Peniamina and his work to teach and spread The Word of God in Niue.
