G’morn, It sounds so nice, doesn’t it? But it’s squeezed - TopicsExpress

G’morn, It sounds so nice, doesn’t it? But it’s squeezed through clenched gums. Methinks industrial strength coffee is only going to fire up my temper. Not a good condition to be near. Spent the past couple of days working on photos, organising and deleting duplicates, that seem to have multiplied like measles over the years. Yesterday the weather gizmo data took 4hrs to upload its data to various agencies, then 5 then 6 and I lost it – the plot that is, and switched it off. For the next several hours I spent checking plugs, retrying data uploads – all to no avail. By then I was in no mood for anything, just in an ever-increasing mood. By chance I checked one plug I hadn’t touched – and guess what – THAT was the problem. The data uploaded immediately and all was well again with the world, or so I thought. Back to the photos. The new camera has a program that I thought would help me ‘see’ the duplicates in an organised fashion and delete accordingly. I don’t know how many hours that took, but hundreds vanished into the bin. I went back to the computer’s own pictures files only to find some folders missing. By then I was seeing red, decided to undo 2 days of arduous work and take the computer back to an earlier date, hoping that’d bring back the lost folders. Nope. Unable to take much more I succumbed to the snoozies and returned to delete several programs I no longer use. I no longer care if that snatched pics or progs I need. Everything is on another drive. It was time to read the un-paperised manuals for the camera. It was like reading War and Peace. From it, I found the two items I was after – the rest being excess to requirements. Will print those couple of pages today. Then there’s a very expensive item(s) bought a couple of weeks ago that STILL hasn’t arrived. No – it’s not on a slow boat from China like the cameras were, but in the UK! If it doesn’t arrive today, they’ll be cancelled for that reason. It irks me that the money paid for items can be taken in a flash, but the product becomes an antique by the time it arrives. Totally infuriating! Aurora has been sitting at the window, willing the sun to rise – and succeeded lol Birds are singing and the stove is in cosy mode. One more thing to sort out today that will likely send me ballistic. Hey ho, never a dull moment. Have a good day
