Hardest thing Ive ever done..in my LIFE...but I endured & got through! Had to watch Mr. Bryce, go without something g to eat during snack time at school today, ugh!!! But oh well. Ok, I know it sounds harsh but thus dude has to learn everything the hard way! You literally have to have Flare Guns (shinning as bright as they can) when talking to him & guck g him specific directions;). He prepared his snack for school last night as he always does before bed. He put it IN his book bag thus morning along with his water bottle. Well, theres a system in the mornings when you first walk into the classroom, take all homework, folders, agendas, basically anything PAPER-related & that has to be checked & signed off by the teacher, OUT of your book bags & put them neatly in your cubbies. This includes coats, hats, gloves, etc. (hang them in their proper places...Away from your desk). The only thing that should be in or under your desk is your SNACK/LUNCH bag bcuz we will not do all of that walking & trying to get to your food when snack @ lunch time gets ready to begin. Now theyve been doing this little procedure for the past 2 1/2 months now, EVERYDAY;)! Well, my child, whom shall remain nameless for his protection...but hes the boy child;)...proceeds, this morning, to make his rounds around the classroom & become distracted forgetting what he was there to do before everybody had to get in their desks & begin their morning work. Well snack time came & his Awesome teacher told everyone to Pull out their snacks (but font get up bcuz your snack should be in your desk) & begin snack time. Well your boy just sat, starring at other folks eating. I was organizing papers when I motioned to him to ask, why arent you eating? He looked away bcuz he knew he had messed up, nobody but him & he didnt want to answer me. He finally looked over at me & said, its in my cubby & I cant get up;(. I frowned & said, good;(! So he just say there, ugh, I felt so bad for him & I know he was hungry but Ih well! If he doesnt learn this lesson now & I interrupt the teacher to ask if he can get his snack (which she probably wouldve done bcuz it was me asking but with this teacher, who doesnt play the radio with her students, not a chance). So I sat, it was killing me that he wasnt eating (of which she saw him not eating as well & felt bad but was NOT gonna let him get his snack becuz he KNOWS better & what to do) but when does it end with us cuddling these kids, these Boys honestly??? Well, before I knew it, snack was over & he was up, laughing & answering questions & participating in class;). As I was leaving, she nudged me &told me she saw him, the whole time but wasnt gonna allow him to get it. I told her I was dying over there but if she had offered to let him, I probably wouldve said, no, dont let him. we looked over at him & he was happily working in his group. She said, look at him, hes fine! Now had either one of us broke, the lesson wouldnt have been learned! Love, LOVE, my teachers!
