Have to say Im disappointed that An Taoiseach had nominated Phil Hogan (Hogans Heroes) for a European post. He did not for me stand up to the plate in his Environmental Ministry. I will declare I have a personal interest / involvement / bias. Phil Hogan was responsible for Priory Hall and most of my FB friends will know one of my Daughters had bought one of these death traps. He failed in so many ways to sort this sorry mess Im not going to go into detail as I dont want to open wounds for the many others victims. Having said all that, theres a new property boom and the very same short cuts are still exist for rogue builders / developers to get rich quick on the backs of our Children. You might also recall the Septic Tank levy, Hogans Heros soon made a U turn on that when the mainly Farming Community put it up to him. (€5) why bother. Then we had the Household Tax a Dublin & Cork tax need I say more. Its as unfair as it can be. Then the Water Rates and Irish Water. How wrong can a Minister get it so wrong and still get promoted to one of the highest paid jobs in the World. I personally believe he will sell Ireland out, he is self serving and egotistical. Only time will prove me wrong but I think not.
