Hello to all of my friends. Living in a whole new country with such a different culture can be a challenge. The photos I have posted are representative of Kokshetau, Kazakhstan. It is a very odd mixture with a little inner city USA and Deadwood of the old west. The students are incredibly well mannered and polite, and my co-teachers are very nice. It is clear I am going to have to learn some Russian and Kazakh to function well outside of school. I now have the ability to watch college football, just 10 hours ahead of your time. I am writing this at 4 am EST and 2 pm my time, so that will give you a feel for the difference. I look forward to hearing from all of you and will post and respond more as I get time.
