Heres one from my book, A Cowboy Spirit. Hope you enjoy it! Grandpas Boots © 7/26/2013, Stuart Hooker Grandpas boots were worn and muddy so hed leave them outside, Which was good cause Grannys cats needed another good place to hide, Their cousins, the barn cats sat watchin Grandpa milk the cow, Hed hit em all with one stream of milk though I still dont know how; Where have all the good times gone fond memries of growin up, Helpin Grandpa shuck the corn on the tailgate of his old truck, Hed kneel so Id step from his knee to the stirrup on a gentle horse, He had one suit hed wear to town and Sundays to church, of course; He left us great footprints to follow sometimes too big to fill, Though hes been gone so many years in my mind I see him still, And his boots so worn and muddy that hed leave them outside, Which was good cause Grannys cats needed another good place to hide. © 7/26/2013, Stuart Hooker (You may repost this poem to your timeline, but any other reproduction or retransmission of it is prohibited without the written consent of the author, Stuart Hooker.)
