The U.S. State Department has a list of countries which impose strict penalties on Christians or other faiths. The eight worst for Christians are: Sudan, Myanmar (also known as Burma), China, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. Also, Christians are considered the most likely to be persecuted worldwide, according to a 2014 report by the Pew Research Center. Please lift up your prayers for those who are persecuted for their faith in Jesus and the families of those who were martyred. Some of those families are actually Muslim families who have had a relative imprisoned and/or killed because of conversion to Christianity.
