Hey everyone! I finally got nominated for the ubiquitous Ice Bucket Challenge, but wanted to do something more than post a video of myself getting doused by ice water. Sometimes when the same thing is repeated too often, it loses its flavor and its focus. However the disease still remains. My friend posted this video and it really got to me. I thought about the man speaking - and put myself in his shoes for a second...how devastating it would be to lose my ability to cycle or even pick up a paintbrush to a disease like this. Its a good cause to support. ...so I was wondering if we could do a collection for ALS Research and a cure at the next Wed. night shop ride? Weather is supposed to be beautiful 90 and sunny 0% chance of rain. No dollar amount requirement. Not even a requirement to donate. Donate as you wish...and if youve already donated, just come out to ride... I ran this idea by Greg and its Greg approved. We can figure out the logistics once we get to Wednesday. Just seeing if people out there reading this would rally behind the idea and want to participate? - Janet
