Hi, My name is gillian and I was refered to this page via my friend Clare Hendry. My son who is 26 months old has been diagnosed only today with non verbal communication and social interaction disorder on the asd spectrum. I have been advised by his consultant that he may never learn to talk and also that mainstream school would be a no-no for him. I accept the consultants diagnosis of asd as she has advised me that Jacob is the youngest child that she has ever diagnosed with asd as my son shows too many traits of asd. I am looking for any advice you can give or any groups that are held within south Ayrshire that I can be involved in. I am very grateful for any advice/feedback that is given. Kind regards Gillian x
