RIDE FOR A CAUSE Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysore, is one of the most renowned technical institutions in Karnataka. It was founded by Sri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru in 1963. It’s one among the 300 institutions, spread worldwide that come under the school of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which has educational institutions in other countries such as Mauritius, the United States of America, and countries in Africa. SJCE’s 177 acres of spacious & green campus, upgraded laboratory facilities, sincere facility & effective, yet flexible teaching has attracted students from all over the country. The annual fest of SJCE Jayciana is one of the most celebrated & crowd drawing event for the college. Every year, Jayciana has been kick started by prominent people from various backgrounds. The three day fest of ours includes various heart throbbing events from dawn to dusk. One of the most awaited and thrilling events being the Bike rally. SJCE has witnessed participation by enthusiasts who own Harley Davidsons, Ducatis, BMWs, and Yamahas. Enthusiasts from various prestigious institutions including the IITs gear up to showcase their skills on two wheels. This year our motto is to spread awareness among youth on two key issues; ‘Safe riding rules’ and ‘Ill effects of the pesticide Endosulphan’. Our Media Partners include ‘TV9, Public TV, Kasturi Channel, The Times of India, Deccan Herald, Vijay Karnataka and The Hindu’. The funds raised through this event will be utilized for the betterment of people who are affected by the use of Endosulphan. There by, we humbly request your prestigious group to be a part of the event and join hands with us in grooming a better future for our country’s youth. The event will take place on Saturday the 22nd of March, 2014 at 11 am IST. Lunch will be provided after the event and you can also witness the celebrations of Jayciana, as well as meet fellow bikers from various biking clubs.
