Hi everyone - As you all probably know, I have never bothered with deposits when taking orders, relying on the word of the customer. Over the last few weeks I have had to turn down orders due to the diary being so full!. However,in the last 6 weeks there have been 24 orders cancelled - Usually at the last minute, and only when I have contacted the customer to confirm order details. Obviously this has an impact, not only on myself, especially where items have been purchased (I.e dolls, figures etc) but also to customers that are being turned down. I have therefore decided it is necessary to start taking deposits for all orders. £10 for cakes and 50% of the value of cupcake orders, will now be required to confirm your booking. In addition any items which need to be ordered in advance (Figures, dolls, ribbon, jewels etc) Will have to be paid in full, on top of the deposit.This will come into effect on ALL NEW ORDERS taken from today. I know there are customers who have been buying cakes from me for a long time, and have never let me down - Which I greatly appreciate!. I also understand that things happen and cancellations are unavoidable at times, but feel I cannot continue with the way I am doing things at the moment.
