Hypothetical Number 1. Your driving your car along listening to some Farnsy at full volume on the way to the beach. The police car following you starts singing along by adding some accompaniment by way of the siren and the light show. You want to share the love with the officers so you pull over. They then breath test you and fortunately the beers from last night have somehow made it out of your system. After the negative return on the breatho the Police tell you that they are going to search your car. They give some kind of reason why but because you are so surprised you cant remember what the reason is 3 seconds after they told you. So what do you do? 1. Consent to them rifling through your car which you generally use as your rubbish bin; 2. Change the music from Farnsy to Barnsy and drive off quickly; 3. Politely tell the officers that you do not consent to them searching your pseudo tip but do not get in their way if they do; 4. Somehow remember the song by the Cruel Sea and call your lawyer, son on 0450 754 673. 5. Retort in kind by offering to search their car while they search yours. Note: Of course any interaction with the Police can potentially be serious..
