I LOVE music i seriously do, I have a very eclectic personal taste in music, I also love pushing my areas of knowledge in regards to music, as a family function DJ i do not get the opportunity to listen and play many songs as the emphasis is on getting people dancing..so we try to weight the music programming accordingly.. i have recently been covering a midweek quiz at a general Rock /ska punk bar which has younger clientele...whilst music is not really on the agenda it has made me look at what these people are into ..five finger death punch , avenged sevenfold , pantera , metallica sum41 blink 182 green day etc they also like 2 tone ska all bands and artists i knew and that i cherry picked when asked at functions but its made me research far more..I have found tunes i will probably never play again but i feel more confident going in doing just a quiz now in front of this knowledgeable crowd even though i probably wont have time to play any! I do feel its freshened my mental view on music, i did the same when researching classical music pieces for wedding events.. started listening to classical in the car... I think the reason i got into DJing in the first place is my love of music and it feels recently like i have bumped into a old flame and we have hit it off again :D youtu.be/egwARrX1ik8
