I WRITE WHAT I LIKE WOMEN, LETS TALK There is this - TopicsExpress

I WRITE WHAT I LIKE WOMEN, LETS TALK There is this deleterious predominant beautiful attitude that gets passed from old women to the young, old men to the young and peers of both genders. Is your body, your hair, jewellery, your make-up, being light-skinned and your clothing, all there is to determine your beauty? Why are all these always up for judgement? Is being called beautiful a compliment or judgement based on comparison (against you and other women) based on narrow analysis of beauty: clothes, jewellery, make up, being light-skinned, long hair, painted nails, necklace, sparkly shoes (usually heels) or lipstick, body (mostly thin)? When you receive that random compliment that you are beautiful (which mostly is probably based on the above), what possibly comes to the lady next to you who supposedly have the same chances of being told she is beautiful but isnt? I am not saying beauty should be re-defined nor do i question appreciation but the mediocre markers of femaleness and limited social norms of feminity and beauty that rob women of a glee and pride of being women and dependence on peoples evaluation (especially of men) of your beauty for your self-worth.
