I am between Liberal and Green Party. I dont agree with Libertarians (Isolation and all private) because they want to eliminate all government programs. I think they have a false claim that Democrats are trying to go over to socialism, nothing about our system will ever completely go social. But I think some programs should be, because private for profit organizations have more then proven over the years when not regulated they will abuse the population to the fullest. Some services should not be about profit, when you run a for-profit model it causes a conflict of interest. Like police departments that make arrests just to drive up revenue, or schools and colleges that want results so they give incentive for schools to cheat for funding... or health care, when it is in our best interest to just have a universal health plan, and just consider it an investment in our working class. Retirement is another good example. We should not have a retirement system tied to the stock market to be lost every time it crashes, regular working class cant rebound from them type of losses. It is abusive, and there is more criminal activity among the organizations costing our economy more then all of the crime put together by the working class and the lower class. The whole float or sink mentality is not productive to an advance civil society. All we have to do is look at the unrest in other countries to realize we are heading that way if we keep expanding the income differences between the haves and the have nots. This whole blame the poor and punish them for being poor has got to stop, they are already paying more. It is the business models being run by the corporations, they are abusive, when individuals at the top of the company can liquidate the profits out the top to the detriment of the stability of the company and the financial security of the lower class. Corporations keep blowing off the fact that workers are consumers. If they dont quit screwing over the workers, they are just cutting their own throats when consumer confidence drops and the workers / consumers have no buying power, other then cost of living and defaulted debt. IT just brings to an end what that company can expect for profits going forward... but we know that is not their objective, if the business fails so be it, they already extracted as much profits out of the company as they could before that occurs. They have the seed money to just start over again and repeat the same activities until they have to do it again. No skin off their backs. Disaster Capitalism is what we call it, when you drive the lower class into financial hardship, that they are encountering costs that the wealthy dont ever deal with. Like required deposits for utilities, higher interest rates for loans on houses and vehicles, having to pay interest just to make extended payments to buy things which wealthy avoid because they just purchase out right. The lower class has been squeezed so hard that they have no recommended emergency savings like 6 to 9 months to cover should they suffer loss of a job, or illness. The rich dont have to worry about how much it is going to set them back if their car breaks down, or if they have to replace their furnace, or water heater... any major appliance in the house will set regular working class back. That stock market crash just accomplished eating up all reserves working class had, they had no where else to run when everything collapsed. They had bad credit from being maxed out on credit cards, missing payments trying to keep food on the table. When they do get financial service they were trapped to only using sub prime lenders, pay day loans, rent to own, title loans, personal finance loans. They had bad credit ratings resulting from them type of relationships. Bad credit will remain on a consumer credit report for 7, 10 years, 14 years in the case of some judgements, liens, student loans had no statute of limitations, so they could repopulate the credit report indefinitely as long as they were outstanding... once paid they still continue an additional 7 years. All of the creditors in that period of time got to benefit from the consumers misfortune, the utility companies, auto loans, mortgage lenders, insurance companies, landlords, credit card companies. Each consumer is a cash cow, that can earn the finance industry 10s of thousands of dollars in their life time. IF they can force a default on them, then that sky rockets fast with over the limit fees, late fees, higher default interest rates, collection fees, legal fees... then going forward on any new loans high initial interest rates, required maintenance fees, application fees, deposits.... it is the gift that just keeps on giving. Debt is a far more desirable commodity then goods and service. Republicans are creating chaos, when people lack the education, to make sound decisions, to understand what is happening, it creates fear and hostilities... and people react to misinformation. Follow the mob, or should say lemmings running for the cliff in blind panic. We need people to advance their education and understanding. Instead of this fear education mentality. Shun the knowledge (tainted apple of knowledge) because it is not going to get them into heaven. Being sinful and learning, the poison fruit. What it is really doing is setting them up for their doom. I see them playing their head games, I know enough about credit reporting issues, to see the trap set before us. But it dont help trying to warn the other lemmings, they are too busy being panicked and provoked to disregard reasoning. Mass manipulation going on, both sides, I know the Democrat leaders are bought off too, but we have to take the lesser of two evils, advance our education and do what we can to set things right. Like removing citizens united, fixing lobbying, insider trading, gerrymandering, voting rights, civil rights... all of these should not be an issue. We should be debating constructively, working together instead of viewing each other as enemies, that does not help our country. And it only expedites the oligarchy take over by the rich. Where went with the anti-trust laws, seeing all of these monopolies, we are no longer a democracy, we are now just peasants with over lords.
