I am optimistically waiting for our newly elected officials to do the job they promised and are paid to do. They can only do better than the back door deals of you support my bill or I wont support yours mentality of so many of our Representatives that have been in Washington for far too many terms. I hope the newest members will get back to what our Founding Fathers fought for. They need to keep true to the spirit of this great country by abiding by the Constitution and stop passing laws and regulations that stifle prosperity, make it difficult if not impossible with too many rules and regulations for the average citizen to pursue their right to happiness. Stop taxing citizens to the point that even after death, government takes much of what you worked for and then taxing your heirs on on what is left. Stop with the thousands of tax rules and exemptions that do not serve the average citizen, but benefit only those that have the money and time to find loopholes to work to their advantage. All laws should be applied and enforced equally upon it citizens and include politicians, because no person is above the law. Laws and regulations should be short and to the point with language that any citizen can understand and read in a short time. We do not need a lawyer to interpret the language if the bill or legislation is written as our Founders intended. Also, like any person, company or organization, please make a budget, and stick to it. Most citizens do. So why is it any different for the federal government to stay on budget and spend only what they have. If we dont have the money, do not fund it. No cost of living increases, raises and especially bonuses for all federal employees, including you, because any sane person knows that if you dont do your job effectively, you should not get rewarded. Keep it simple. It is absurd that the laws passed each year, need a new Agency, staffed with more people collecting a paycheck from taxpayers and creating more paperwork and so it goes, on and on. Stop spending money we dont have, especially giving money to countries that hate us. We must first take care of our own country so that we are able to provide a strong, stable, and free society for our own citizens. As it was intended in the beginning of our country, any bill, any piece of legislation, must be clear, minimal, and with language that any citizen can understand it. Stop attaching pork projects to every bill because it is making the Federal Government our biggest problem. We dont need or want our government to tell us what we need or have to do. So stop the bureaucratic nonsense, the excessive multiplication and concentration of power of administrative bureaus that is strangling our ability to be able to live our lives as we choose. So, I expect, you, our newest Senators and Congressmen to do your job of limiting federal, spending, regulation, passing new laws when some current ones are not enforced, and everything federal. And lastly, finish the hearings on the IRS, Benghazi, Gitmo, VA, Immigration (if the federal government would get out of the way of States, our borders would be secure), and restore our credibility, respect and honor in a world that used to know that we would defend our allies and never bow to our enemies. Mr. Obama has eroded that trust in just 6 years. Never yield to anyone in Washington that will compromise your morals, common sense, and what is right for America, even if it means you are there for just one term. America is expecting you to do the right thing even when the odds are against you. And remember, you are not alone. We The People are expecting you to be our voice. So until someone speaks up for us, I will continue to be KRAZY CITIZEN JANE.
