I am so excited this clock finally arrived yesterday. The timber clock has been designed and made in Melbourne by Tate Anderson. The Solaris clock is produced from a single piece of timber about the size of an A4 sheet of paper, the timber is machined using precise cutting technology and then steam bent into the full circle you can see. The clock is bent, stretched and spread into a closed loop. As every Solaris is bent and formed by hand, each one has unique features and characteristics (mine has some individual knots and other beautiful features). Please visit Tates website at tateanson.
