I am so unbelievably happy with where I am in life right now. I have an amazing husband, a precious child on the way, great friends and family, a roof over my head, and a bright future. And I am so thankful with what the Lord has blessed me with. But, sometimes, I miss those summer evenings helping my Mammaw make dinner while my Pappaw went out to the garden and picked tomatoes and green onions. Or those winter nights when my sisters and I would have a coloring contest and Pappaw would give the prettiest picture owner a dime. Or those nights at Mammaw and Pappaws when all 3 of us girls would be squeezed into one bed and Mammaw would squeeze in between us to pray with us and read us stories before we fell asleep. The endless hours Mammaw and I spent at the piano, singing and playing our hearts out! Those Sunday mornings running around the house with rollers in our hair while Mammaw kept after us to hurry and get ready girls before we are late! followed by Sunday school, worship service, and home made Sunday dinners. I love my life, but what I wouldnt give for just one more day with all my family together and my precious Mammaw home with us one more time. So I go back to a pew, preacher, and a choir. Singin bout God, brimstone, and fire and the smell of Sunday chicken after church
