I am thanking God today for Jazmine Sarajade Dennys new school. (my granddaughter) She is now a student of K12 Virtual Academy, an online Texas Public School. She loves it. She is learning so much more. She has an online Texas teacher who gives her one on one. If she gets something wrong, she has the opportunity to go over it again and relearn the right process. She can work at her own pace, thus jumping ahead to the next part if she has already learned the other. She has classmates with whom she will have activities throughout the year. She chats with them on their class chatline. She will also be learning how to play the guitar along the way. The new school is an answer to prayer. She has had difficulties in the past, hated school. We discovered that she has Hashimotos Disease, a non-working thyroid, which we believe was the reason for her blank stare in the classroom. She had all of the characteristics of being GT, but her teachers ended up on her case all of the time for not finishing her work. Finally they gave her an IQ test and found out that she was a genius! Her mother, Shannon Sapp Denny, told me yesterday that she has received two emails from Jazzys former school saying how proud they were to have her back this year. Wups!
