I am thrilled that my new song, Taking Me Down, will be included on the upcoming CD Legends Shoulder to Shoulder to benefit the Pete Quaife Foundation. Pete Quaife was a founding member of The Kinks and he passed away in 2010. David Quaife (Petes brother) and Penny Pound founded the Pete Quaife Foundation in Petes memory with a mission to give children on dialysis treatment some means of enjoyment, interest or entertainment while undergoing their four hours of treatment three times weekly – providing equipment such as portable DVD players, Kindles, etc. that can be sterilized. To achieve this we arrange live music gigs and events and our own PQFMusic record label/publishing company (pqfmusic/) supporting the bands that support us. I am both proud and humbled that my song will be included for this worthy cause alongside such rock & roll royalty as Roger McGuinn of The Byrds, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, Peter Noone of Hermans Hermits, former Jam frontman Paul Weller, Wishbone Ash, Elliot Schneider and former Beach Boys member Billy Hinsche! And the cover art for this exciting album? It is being designed by the legendary Kosh (https://facebook/koshart) who created The Beatles Abbey Road album cover, The Who - Whos Next album cover and scores of others! The CD will be mastered by Pete Maher, the successful mastering engineer for records by U2, The Rolling Stones, Jack White, Katy Perry and more!
