I could use some advice. I like physically connecting to existing and new friends that are in the same place at Disney World as I am. Foursquare was a good tool for this. Unfortunately Swarm is not. Swarm does not display on the same screen who is nearby, where they are and when they were last there. Plus it actually reports false locations so it cant be trusted. Its an app prioritized on just alerting you when a friend is nearby, but not exactly where they are or if the person is not already a friend. Its pretty illogical what they are showing, especially when they are trying to promote their split up as being a better way to connect. So is there another tool I can use? Right now what Im doing is leveraging IFTTT to tweet where I check-in and encourage nearby people to tweet back, but this is pretty one-sided. People better appreciate it when you make the effort to meet them rather than announce youre nearby. Facebook check-ins would be too tedious for my followers to keep seeing and its not very public. Perhaps my days of meeting new friends IRL in Disney World through location apps are over. Thanks in advance.
