I cried watching this. Multiple Sclerosis is a condition we address at the MaxWell Clinic often, and its effects are as unique as the people affected. This story brings to heart how we all need one another to experience our own peak function. Runners need coaches, coaches need runners. You are needed both to be helped and to help. What a thing to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving!! On a side note, In a recent lecture I gave on the advanced evaluation and treatment of Fatigue I reviewed how fatigue is governed by areas of the brain such as the anterior cingulate and anterior insula. Patients with Multiple Sclerosis with fatigue as a major symptom often have lesions in these areas. Fatigue has many many causes...and it often IS in our heads... :-).... And there is often so much that can restore full energy. Like Kayla, never give up!!
