I feel MERU CULTURE(lifestyle & language) is dying fast.....LET US NOT BLAME IT ON westernization(education or religions included)..no! Its bcos of loss of relevance caused by key guardians such as politicians,Njuri ncheke...etc and them doing less to CHANGE to fit in the modern society thro promoting the good bits of culture that have withstood test of time -eg language! itself! Again depending on what av grown seeing and learnt,i can say our traditional way of living was so male-centred where women,children & youths had less or no say at all! Thus some cultural practices cud not thrive in modern 20th & 21st centuries!!... Media is doing quite well in preserving it......the only BIGGEST remaining BLOCK that will represent our culture where us and our children will learn from is ART(MUSIC INCLUDED). Believe me. #Thats why i promote Meru Music,through it we can celebrate the bits of culture that are relevant in modern times,E.g LANGUAGE,MALE CIRCUMSICION,TRADITIONAL DANCES, FOODS,HISTORY OF ORIGIN,etc.
