I have been nominated by Kim Ealey Earnest to name 10 books that have stayed with me in some personal way. They dont have to be literary masterpieces, so dont spend days agonizing over this. The only criteria are that they have impacted you. Once you do this tag additional friends (including me so I can read your answers) and the cycle can continue. Have fun! I nominate Ryan Budde and Keri Budde 1. Trixie Belden Mysteries, starting with the very first book The Secret Of The Mansion and I ended with Mystery on the Mississippi. I started reading these when I was 7 with my best friend and neighbor Jeanie. We would check them out at our local bookmobile. Jeanie and I would then play out the book. Jeanie was Trixie as she had short blond hair and I was Honey, I had light brown hair. We had the best time acting out the books we had just read. 2A. Just like Kim, I too read the Little House on the Prairie books, it was my dad that introduced me to the Ingalls family. 2B. Me And Emma by Elizabeth Flock 3. The Stolen Child by Keith Donohue 4. Snow Flower And The Secret Fan by Lisa See 5. Peony In Love by Lisa See 6. The Red Scarf by Kate Furnivall 7. The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield 8. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen 9. The Woman In White by Wilkie Collins 10A. Barra Creek by Di Morrissey 10B. The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova I also love the quilting mysteries by Earlene Fowler & Jennifer Chiaverini ( Im a quilter) and Im always in the mood for a good thriller by Vince Flynn. I also like The Camel Club thrillers by David Baldacci. Oh and Kim, I loved Firefly Lane too, and youre right, its hard to pick just a hand full of books! Looking forward to seeing what everyone has on their lists...hoping to find more good books to read! :-)
