I have been up for 21 hours since we started our trip home from Hungary. In the last four nights the food has been so different. Friday night we had a vintners five course dinner prepared by a very talented Hungarian chef paired with five very different white wines. I didnt know that vintners in Tokaji are only allowed to grow white wines and their chefs must figure out how to pair them with any food. Saturday at lunch Loren ordered the liver, and it was amazing. Saturday night was more German which we paired with a red wine produced on the Hungarian border with Croatia. Sunday night we were back in Budapest in a very modern hotel with an amazing Japanese restaurant. The sushi was first class and we paired it with a great Hungarian white wine. Todays 21 hours included13 hours of flying. On the flight for Amsterdam to Atlanta I watched two movies and still had five hours left on the flight! And by the way the new Godzilla movie is worth watching. Tonight my bride went home (lucky her) and I went to Ft. Lauderdale for a conference. And tonight I had fish tacos at an Atlantic ocean-side Mexican bar.
