I hope no one thinks that I am not empathetic to the lack of valid identification issues that appear to face my community. Granted, I have ranted about the police dumping my purse and leaving it in a heap in the gutter before taking me to jail on a trumped up charge that got stayed, repeatedly calling me Boss Lady. I think 8 police cars showed up to witness my arrest. Hahaha! Thing is though, when it comes down to it, I never got new government identification until I began working/ for Pivot because I wouldnt buy much more than crack at the time if I recall. I had money for crack. I had money for ($10 + $15) for government identification) birth certificate and BC identification. As for voting, I was in no condition to vote. I mean it. Not even because of smoking crack. I never bothered to read up on the parties or candidates. Early in TPPRS history, I tried putting up signs of all the candidates and parties, was it in 2012? All of them were taken down and a Jenny Kwan poster was plastered everywhere. I didnt know about Dan Small yet. :) Then, rides were arranged to take people to the polling station all day long (as people came in). Back then a person with identification was allowed to vouch for 2 peoples identity, I think. I think its a travesty for PHS to so blatantly squeeze votes that were not the voters authentic vote. I hate yes people you know. Just like I heard a yes man is running for Parks Board, whats his name, also head of the street market?Whatever. He has exhibited some of the disgustingly sleazy, like the cliche used by lemon salesmen methods... advertising all over the dtes that the annual AGM for the Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood Council started at 2 pm, then locking the first 15 people in the metal gated fencing at 1:30 and starting the meeting. I took pictures of his slimeball ways that day, posted it all to Facebook and tried my hardest to demand that he not kill the integrity of the DNC that way, but he asked all the 15 yes men that got paid to be there to vote on it, and my motion was squashed. Every board meeting, I would be never allowed to discuss agenda item for blatant sleaze ball things. If he Slimy Pig. Dirt Ball. I get $531 plus whatever, way less now than when I was smoking crack and working. I host an open house every Sunday, smoke cigarettes, eat somewhat healthy, allow myself 4 litres of milk on Wednesdays, have Internet cable and both house and cell phone, and I have a birth certificate, medical card, bank card, credit cards, BCID. It insults peoples intelligence and degrades the election process if there is not accountability. I think it would have been more prudent to raise the number of people that one person with identification could vouch for, thats all. Unnamed bank cards. Maybe PHS is secretly ISIS (Moi-ha-ha-ha-ha). Happy Halloween. Here, you cannot get into an Atira building with it because BC Housings wife doesnt have confidence in Lifeskills cards because all you do is say your name to PHS, they put it on a card with your picture, but Vancouver Canada, will let 20,000-50,000 votes can be cast with them. The new Jenny Kwan being groomed for PHS. It scares me half to death with PHS having that much power. How many cards have been issued. I might still have mine actually. It keeps popping up. Maybe I will use it, just for the principle. #DTESPride
