I hurried home this afternoon, already thinking of what I needed - TopicsExpress

I hurried home this afternoon, already thinking of what I needed to do and where I needed to be. Let the dog out, get the mail out, change clothes and go! When I rounded the corner of my street I noticed the small woman working in the yard across the street. She and a small boy were finishing a picnic lunch on the front lawn. She was familiar to me, as she was the same woman I met years ago when I first moved here. The boy was not her son, but her grandson. Even though I knew I had limited time, I stopped and gave her a hug and thanked her. She also thanked me for remembering the time when she was helping her son make the yard beautiful. She thanked me for my husbands help with her sons car. The woman said,I want to put Christmas lights all around his house. I told her that I would love to stay and help but that I had an appointment to keep. When I returned later, the house and the bushes all around were completely lit with many lights. The woman was preparing to leave as I stopped and again we hugged. I told her how great it looked. She smiled and said how happy she was and how much her son would love it. She and I both knew that her son would never see it here on Earth, but from Heaven, as he was sadly taken from us only a short time ago.
