I just had a moment of recognition I wanted to share. I have a house full of Poptarts (easily 6 different flavours), Oreos and 225+ mini chocolate bars, yet I want none of it. Not being controlled by food is AMAZING. There was a time where I couldnt have these things in the house - and there was even a time Id sneak out in the middle of the night to buy chocolate bars and eat them in my car before coming home. I was so consumed and controlled by food that I thought I literally felt powerless to it. I remember that I once assumed when I was shredded and muscular that I would somehow be fixed and wouldnt be so consumed with food. Of course being in a healthier place has nothing to do with being there with body composition - as I once thought. It has to do with getting off the hamster wheel, no longer chasing that shredded look that athletes only have during the last 4 weeks of, and 4 weeks post prep. It came with fueling my body for strength - which fueled my mind and heart the confidence. I can put nearly twice my body weight on my back and squat it, and pick it up off the floor then put it back down again. Cant do that chasing rice cakes. Whats even better... I am more muscular than ever before in my life and get called a man or manly at least twice a week. Im going to call this a win on every single level. If youre not there yet, dont lose faith. You can be. Just get off the hamster wheel and change your focus INWARD rather than outward. Eat something and pick up some heavy-ass-weight!
