I know Ive shared this photo of my mother before...but its my favorite of her ❤️ This was taken before she married my father, not sure whos wedding it was... When I look at this, I wonder if she knew what life held in store for her, that she would have six children...(five being girls, all a year apart in age) Her favorite book was Little Women...and she wanted us to be like the girls in that book (sorry to disappoint you mom) she didnt work outside of the home until most of us were in High School, then she went back and got her nursing degree...and she was a great nurse...she opened her heart and her house to all of our friends and even though we didnt have a lot she always shared with anyone in need...our house was always full, especially on Sundays and holidays...she had a passion for cooking and sewing, and made most of our clothes...and I can still smell the aroma of bread, pies and pastries baking every Saturday...she traded sewing and baked goods with Mrs Foster, so we could take piano lessons...I know how much she gave up for us...we didnt always see eye to eye...I was a little rebel and each one of her children had their own special gifts and problems...but she loved us all, despite the fact that we didnt turn out as she had expected...we were her children, and she was there for us...always...her home was a home we could always come back to...I love and miss you Mom...sending all of my love to you in Heaven on this Mothers Day...I honor you...❤️❤️❤️...
