I liked “Interstellar” a lot. Evaluated on the plot and explanation of the science fiction points alone, it had problems in places, but I’m willing to overlook those (at least for now) because the emotional impact was so strong. Although it’s set in the science fiction genre, the movie was really about love and family, not about time and wormholes. As with most of Christopher Nolan’s movies, I think the logic of the script could have been made much better with more attention to it, but for me it packs such an emotional punch that I’m not worrying about that for now. I can certainly understand the point of view of those who were underwhelmed, but the emotional part of the story made it work for me.
