I love my office on Fort Hood! I have been here 27 months! I have lost count of the number of Troops and spouses I have worked with exactly, close to 3000 and over 3000 hours of coaching individuals and training groups up to 1100 Soldiers in one day at Belton Lake. Some people think I am crazy as I do this all for free. Why would anyone do that? This was not my intention when I started coaching in 2005, I planned to be a very successful coach, make lots of money, travel and speak all over the world. Yet when I began coaching Veterans and active duty Troops, that desire fell away. Instead I was filled with a knowing that the coaching/training of ESS was to be shared with the Troops and families. I had no clue how it would come to pass or look like, just knew what it would feel like. And WOW how it has unfolded in such an amazing way. Included an awesome husband, which was not on my list at all at that time. Wasnt even looking or wanting one! Who knew! God did and all is amazingly awesome with contrast at times yet all seems to come together so wonderful as I remain curious to what is coming next in our lives. Life Lessons: Remain curious as to what is unfolding in your life. Refrain from judging things as good or bad, chose to be curious. Rearrange your focus, if you tend to focus on what is wrong in your life, I encourage you to look at what is working instead. Realign your thinking, ask is this thought true? Do I want it to be true? How can I think about this differently so I feel differently about the person, event or situation? Review what you do desire in your life often, in juicy detail what it would feel like, not white knuckle, hard wired have to be just like this or that, more what it would feel like when it unfolds. Realize your thoughts fuel your feelings, feelings cause actions, actions create your life!
