I really like this story. Eve Olution tells it well: ...how this Song came to be. After a long and wild journey of writing the concept of the album and setting the intention, Yaegon and I began to live the journey. We traveled around the world and had so many memories flood back to us, reminding us of our connections to the many lands and peoples of this planet. Open Ancient Eyes is a story about remembering our roots, our ancestors of many tribes, of many times, and coming to experience we are the one who has been through it all which gives us the strength to face our deepest fears inorder to know who we really are. Well, this song was to be the unification of that theme, when we return to the wisdom of the center of this universe and are greeted with the message that we can take with us into our every day life moments. I was so nervous to write it, thinking what would the great mother say? wow! thats wondering what God would say to us all in the current state of this planet...and I wanted it to be as pure from the soul as possible without interfering with my little mind. So one day, I just stepped into my nervousness and fear and kept writing. Crafting and reviewing day after day. Then Yaegon kept asking, You ready to record? Still scared I said not yet, not yet But persistent as he is , he would ask me every few days. Finally the day came when the desire to birth this creation into existence became greater than the fear. And I said Yes, Im ready. We did it in one take. Which both blew us back into a wow, did that really just happen? All the energy all that momentum, made the potent moment combust into what you hear now. Every time I hear this , my eyes water and I feel like its not little me at all speaking. Its the mother speaking through and touching my soul. One of the wildest and most beautiful experiences is to be standing on a stage, my soul naked, and hearing those words come through the speakers as everyone (including myself) takes a journey into the depths of its meaning. Every day I remind myself...Love is Enough. Sending love to you all and hoping you feel it too
