I saw that people on the Community Space are posting that they are bringing their trash elsewhere. Lets be honest here. We ALL know that our friends have all found their own ways to avoid the purple bags. WE ALL KNOW THIS. Some bring it to relatives out of town, or to their jobs out of town, or friends with a deal to take their trash to the dump for them......or burning......and I know that dumping is going to be a problem this summer. This Board of Selectmen held that March 10th meeting just to let us squawk and they told us that they would make all these recommendations to the Board of Health as per our complaints. Did they?? NO They just made the ONE recommendation not to raise the cost of the dump sticker.......yet. They just sat their tortured on March 10th, to listen...some even dozing off....and PRETENDED to listen to us - the few that actually showed up - but never followed through with what they said they would do. This is ok with you? It is not with me. This BoS and BoH do NOT listen.....they know they dont HAVE to listen. They will continue to do what they want to do, and the shrinking year round population will be less and less important to them. We will become insignificant to their concerns. The BIG money coming into town, buying the fancy vacation homes will be catered to. All you have to do is look at Provincetown. The other page didnt want to hear any more about the purple bags. The purple bags are just ONE issue that should show us that what we say DOES NOT COUNT. They are NOT listening. I may be forced to sell our property, and the way I see it, it would be foolish to reinvest in this town, if the year round population shrinks to the point of being insignificant to the Town Government. That is what is happening. There is a mass exodus happening here.....of year round people. It has been happening for a long time, but now it is happening FAST - too fast. Yet, dont shake up the bubbles. Dont talk about it! Just rainbows and unicorns....and puppies.
