I want to send out a broad Thank You to everyone for your posts, comments, messages, love and prayers for Zain. I have been so consumed and have had no time or mental energy to reply, but please know it means so much! I would like to do a quick update until I know more tomorrow. Zains CT and shunt series ex rays reflected no issue with shunt function. The EEG showed no activity. (??) Zain will be started on daily anti-seizure medication. There are still a few things I need answers to and I will update as I know. Zain is resting, and also ate some pizza and drank some soda and juice about an hour ago. He is very drained, but is almost back to himself. Very difficult day with his behavior. He threw a fit that lasted at least an hour and me and the nurses were the victims of that one...very intense anger and protest from him. After that, he took a good nap and was more passive when he woke to have port reaccessed (that he deaccessed). I was just thankful that he was alert and could speak...Ill take the punches!!! As youll see in this video taken a couple hours ago, hes coming around and wanting to feel better...and trying to smile. Update tomorrow.
