If the UK Communist Party (aka Labour) win next years election it is a punch in the face to aspiration and a kick in the crotch to entrepreneurship. I will seriously consider moving overseas if those idiots get voted in. Socialism (or Communism Light) is a race to the bottom. Take from the wealthy to give to the poor - equalise everything. Punish success and hard work. My wife works 60+ hours per week in her job and pays over half her wages away in taxation. She went to university for years, got a masters degree, started at the bottom in her profession and has worked bloody hard to get to where she is now. And this bunch of morons think its ok just to keep battering her and her kin with more and more taxes because those with the broadest shoulders should suffer the biggest burden. Well, its not like me to swear on here, but bollocks to that, you bunch of populist sycophants. Innovation and entrepreneurship are the key. Putting capital in the hands of the people, because the people can innovate. Left-wing countries all over the world tried to keep capital in the hands of the all-knowing state and let the state look after everything, and that philosophy devastated every country it touched. It cost more than a TRILLION pounds to fix Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall and unification because of the ravages of a left-wing philosophy. Im not a UKIP fan at all, but they have one policy that I absolutely endorse. A flat tax rate for everyone, somewhere around the 32% mark. This would raise a huge amount more revenue for the exchequer not only by the number itself but also by removing the incentive to avoid tax at the punitive rates that high-earners have to pay. And then the idiot Miliband announces a Mansion Tax. Properties valued at more than £2,000,000 will be taxes around £15,000 regardless of the income of the occupant. Many properties in London and the South East will be hit which have been passed through families for generations where £15,000 is unaffordable. Even if it is affordable, someone buying a £2,500,000 property will already pay £175,000 in stamp duty just to buy it. You want to whack another £15,000 on the top? Get lost, you waste of oxygen. Keep battering the wealthy and they will all go away. Same thing happened in the 70s when all the singers and actors moved to the States to get away from punitive taxation over here. The biggest contributor to the exchequer in terms of Corporation Tax is Goldman Sachs. The biggest contributor in terms of Income Tax are the Goldman Sachs employees. Tax bankers bonuses! They are already taxed at 45% you bunch of idiots. Cap bankers bonuses! Great - so those people who pay £500,000 in tax will now only generate £200,000 in tax and will have less money in their pockets to spend, thus shrinking the economy. Really, if the British public vote this bunch of moronic imbeciles into power, the country is doomed and deserves everything it gets. Rant over, for now.
