If you are a Christian, sharing your personal testimonial with a skeptic, be emotionally prepared for that person to be skeptical. Be prepared for him or her to interpret your experience very differently than you. Theres no reason for hurt feelings just because someone doesnt see things in the same light as you. The whole reason for language is to communicate, and the most effective communication should lead to nothing less than mutual understanding. If mutual understanding is not what you seek, theres little reason to say much of anything.
