Philip, an increasingly frequent winner of the Movie Memories Trivial Trivia contest, edged out Russell Brantzeg, another good friend and frequent winner, by a couple of hours with the correct answer that it was James Cagney speaking the lines, My mother thanks you. My father thanks you. My sister thanks you. And I thank you in Yankee Doodle Dandy(1942). Cagney took Best Actor Academy Award honors for his superb performance. It turned out to be the versatile movie stars only Best Actor Oscar, despite noms in 1938 for Angels with Dirty Faces and in 1955 for Love Me or Leave Me.
