Im totally for raising pension age to 70. Were living longer and stronger than when the current age was set. Work needs to redefined & more flexible. There is something everyone would be happy to do given the right conditions and circumstances. Not something you hate. Older people are doing stuff. Set up situations so they can be employed and paid. Have education, volunteering, caring for kids and contempories considered work and paid. If people are not well enough to work they should go on benefits. And should be able to access their superannuation at 65. Why is the idea of work being something flexible that you want to do so anathema to people? Thats how most people work these days. Not doing something you hate for 60 years before you are released from your societal debt. Many people I know who do unpaid work are the most productive and valued people in our commmunities.
