Impact of illegal gold miners in French Guiana. Pregnant native people are warned to no eat fish from the river. These fish contain mercury released into the rivers by the miners. The Mercury build up in the food chain to reach extrems rates in predators like pirnahas, catfish... Babies born with the Minamata diseas due to the high concentration of Mercury in the fish eaten by the mothers. This is appening in France, in Europe and nobody cares.
