In Catch 22, Joseph Heller projects the Falstaffian statement-Its better to be a living coward than a dead hero. For Yossarian, the anti-hero character, living is thousand times better than a dead hero. And this notion is truly applicable in our context where there is no value of heroic death of the martyrs. The dream of martyrs for constructing a beautiful nation is still unaccomplished. On the occasion of the martys day, I want to wish for the eternal peace for the glorious deads. -D. P.
