In our global society, one of the hardest questions to answer is “should we intervene?” The events in Syria and Egypt over the last months have again prompted that question. Former U.S. Marine Vincent Emanuele has been highly critical of the Western involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq more than twelve years ago. The War on Terror has claimed the lives of 40 Australian soldiers and around 7,000 Americans. Vincent himself was sent to Iraq two times and refused to go the third. So where is the line? When should a country intervene in the affairs of another, and does the West have an obligation to act? Vincent joins us from Brisbane soon.
