In the National Memo, theres an article stating the Christie administration has declared war on MSNBC.... Before I go on, Im going to give my usual disclaimer plus some. Im a Non-Affiliated voter (my state recognizes the Independent Party) and I havent belonged to a political party since 1990. I dont give a f*ck about party dogma. I care about the TRUTH. The truth is rarely pretty, often ugly and sometimes even fugly (f*ckin ugly). And, as the GOP are truth-averse and fact-challenged (among other things), I find myself criticizing them constantly for that. That and the fact that propaganda is a big part of Fascism. As we all know, the GOP are Fascists and have been for years. The other part of my disclaimer is the fact that I watch MSNBC. I watched CNN before that, but, when that news channel went hard-right in February 2012, I stopped watching them and switched to MSNBC. CNN has continued to prove me correct when I say that theyre Fox News Lite. Meanwhile, MSNBC does a pretty good job of telling us the TRUTH. This doesnt mean that I agree with everything they do, mainly, their insistence on bringing the occasional GOPer to allow them to spread Fascist propaganda. Right now, they have only one person from the GOP side that actually tells the truth about their party: Steve Schmidt, former deputy campaign manager of the McCain-Palin campaign in 2008. BTW: Schmidt maintains that the decision to bring in Palin to be McCains running mate was made above his head, meaning that the campaign manager and other advisers made the decision. The other thing to remember is that Steve Kornacki, who hosts Up with Steve Kornacki on weekend mornings on MSNBC, has been one of the channels go-to guys regarding the Christie administration. The reason for that is two-fold. One, hes a New Jersey native and knows a lot about NJ politics. Second, as hes admitted constantly since the scandal broke, he once worked for David Wildstein on an NJ political blog. Wildstein was the NJ Port Authority official who received the infamous time for traffic problems in Ft. Lee email from Bridget Kelly. His answer: got it. With all of that out of the way, heres the deal with the Christie administration. On the day of the 108-minute tapdancing show known as the Press Conference, I posted a comment on Christies FB page. One of the things I wrote was, its highly probable that, if the media digs deeper, well find that the bridge scandal is simply the tip of the iceberg of corruption of the Christie administration. Sure enough, since that point, the Feds have begun an investigation into his administrations alleged misuse of Sandy relief funds and the fact that several Democratic mayors from New Jersey have come forward to reveal that the administration bullied them. The Christie administrations pushback against the correct criticism of them is proof of something Ive known about the GOP in general for several years now. I call it Aggressive-Passive. That is, bullies will bully until someone stands up to them. Then, they play the victim card and start whining like little babies. For instance, the Lt. Gov. of NJ blasted the Hoboken Mayor for telling the truth, claiming that the Mayor lied about a conversation they had. The Mayor said this past weekend that shes willing to answer any questions and even take a lie detector test to prove shes telling the truth. In addition, shes turned over all documents and even her own personal journal to the Feds to prove that shes telling the truth. You have to know something here: lying to federal authorities is a federal crime and a felony. Theres a legal philosophy that states that anyone who admits to committing a felony while ratting out someone else is probably telling the truth. The Hoboken Mayor took a big chance by telling the Feds what she knew because, if it turns out shes lying, shell be convicted a felony crime and it will end her political career. I renew my call for Fat Bastard (Christie) to immediately RESIGN from office.
