Indeed, We sent the Quran down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. (Surat Al-Qadr) It has been narrated that Laylat-ul-Qadr is in one of the last ten odd nights of Ramadan. Some of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were sure it is on the 27th night of Ramadan. Laylat-ul-Qadr (just one night by itself) is better than 1000 months (approx 83 years). We must do our best to take advantage of this blessed night. If we are to witness it, we should try to say as much as possible the following duaa: Allahumma innaka afuww, tuhibbu al-afwa fafu anna. InshaAllah, to encourage the community to engage in worship at night, the masjid will be open all night (from Thursday, July 24 to Friday, July 25) with different programs.
