Inquiries are continuing after a man was assaulted and left with head injuries at Terrigal this morning (Sunday 23 November 2014). About 2.30am today, emergency services were called to reports of an unconscious man near Pinetree Lane at Terrigal. Witnesses told police the man had been assaulted by another man moments earlier. As Ambulance Paramedics were treating the man, he began to regain consciousness and has allegedly become aggressive towards emergency services personnel. Due to the his need for medical attention, police had to subdue the man. He was taken to Gosford Hospital for further treatment. The man is understood to be in a stable condition and his injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
