Intense day yesterday. Dealing with hordes of angry bull runners (including one couple who were so defensive that they set up a counter protest right next to us with a sign saying, I protest uninformed protesters). Bringing powerful, haunting, and terrifying cries of animals into places of violence, and watching one woman break down and start to cry, as she listened to the message we had to bring. And collectively grieving over a pigeon who was hit by a car, right before our eyes, and who gasped her last breaths as we draped a shirt over her maimed body. I have a reputation for dealing with intensity and conflict constructively. But yesterday definitely tested my limits. What allows me to pull through even more strongly than before, after a day like that, is knowing that we have animal rights activists at my back. Speak strongly, friends, today and every day. Your words have more influence than you can even begin to appreciate.
