Interesting to see that they allow runners across the 25th of April Bridge as part of the Lisbon Half Marathon in March. The last time they allowed pedestrians on the roadway of the Golden Gate Bridge was on May 24, 1987, at the time of the 50th anniversary of the Bridge, when 300,000 people were stuck for hours on the Bridge in a human gridlock, and the unprecedented weight caused the middle of the bridge to sag 7 feet.
