It is with sincere gratitude that I inform my people that I have been appointed to serve in the African Youth Panel. Along with 20 other young Afrikans from across the continent, we are tasked with working together with the African Union to architect and gear towards progress the Afrikan youth agenda. Since training us to become Afrikan Youth Charter ambassadors in The Gambia in west Afrika last year, the AYP, under the capable leadership of brother Ibraheem Ceesay, has placed us under a bapticism of fire. It has been a lot of hardwork proving ourselves capable of executing the AYP mandate and I am proud of my colleagues and comrades who have also made it through. I look forward to continue working with young people across the continent, with the long-term vision of ensuring youth participation in decision-making institutions. As Afrika advances towards the construction of a higher civilisation, one can only hope that her youth will be at the forefront of writing a good story that future generations will tell, for indeed, Afrikas greatest resource is not its minerals or lands, but its children, on whose backs Afrikas history is carried. It is with conviction that I declare that Afrikas cause will triumph.
