It seems 2014 wont close without bringing one more tragedy to our little community weve all built here. It is with great regret that I inform everybody that David Lyon, one of our highest donors, passed away a few days ago at the age of 26. Most of you wont know him as he didnt have a facebook account (that Im aware of) and therefore didnt comment or like on the page, but was very active in sending us emails as well as making generous donations, both during the fundraiser campaign of 2013 and after it. Whenever we publicly expressed the need, he was always there for us before we even asked him; something that we greatly appreciated. The last time we talked was when I emailed him a copy of our Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays screenshot of the saloon, and he returned the greetings. This was the day before he passed away. It is easy to make the assumption that if someone donates a significant amount, that they must have a high income or be wealthy in some way. In Davids case, however, he was simply generous and gifted with a big heart. David was one of the people who, during the 2014 podcast, took up our offer to be modeled into the game as an NPC (non-playable character). Once again, as with the case with Jack Ashleys passing earlier this year, our team will do our best to add the legacies of two of our biggest fans to the project we are developing aimed for preserving the legacies of the 2,200 on board the Titanic. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of David Lyon over in the UK. Take care everybody; thanks for reading, Tom
